Daihatsu Sigra Indent Reaches Two Months

Marketing and Customer Relations Division Head of PT Astra International Daihatsu Sales Operation Hendrayadi Lastiyoso revealed that currently Daihatsu Sigra is experiencing an indent for up to two months because demand is still high.

"This indent is not a big thing, because it is still normal. The indent depends on the region, maybe a month or two the indent," said Hendrayadi on the sidelines of the Daihatsu New Sirion test drive in Manado, North Sulawesi, Thursday (23/6/2022) .

He assessed that the seven-passenger low cost green car (LCGC) segment was reasonable considering the high demand from the public.

Sigra, he said, is still the spearhead of Daihatsu's sales in the passenger car segment.

"Sigra is indeed the number one contribution at Daihatsu for passengers, which is around 25 percent. It means that it is indeed the highest demand at Daihatsu, because of seven passengers, MPV, and very affordable prices," said Hendrayadi.

He further said that the pivot was also affected by the semiconductor chip crisis, however, it did not have a significant impact on production.

"Production is still normal, there are still two shifts and it is still going on. It's just a matter of balance between supply and demand, now the demand may be slightly higher than the usual supply," said Hendrayadi.
